[ BILL ] IS NOT HERE
[ 1964 - 2022 ]
Bill Orrison got into medical school intending to be a family practice physician just like his father, but he enjoyed radiology and neurology so much that he studied tirelessly to become an interventional neuroradiologist.
Bill loved helping people and medicine was his preferred way of helping the most. He became exposed to radiation whilst performing interventional procedures throughout his career. Like many others, radiation badges and radiation safety did prevent Bill of long hours performing multiple interventional procedures a day.
He developed several health issues until he suffered a heart attack. He never fully recovered after that and was unable to work from then onwards. Within a year to eighteen months after this point, Bill passed away. He was a great father, and they all have great memories of him.
John Cadwalader, Bill’s best friend, tells us his story.
